Our home, unhurried

We kept the building with its history, the garden that grew with the guesthouse, the kitchen from which the smell of pie still drifts on Wednesdays. We added what is needed when you offer a home to your parents — well-appointed rooms, prepared people, a wellness centre that helps the body without rushing it.

We have 20 places, distributed across three room types — all with private bathrooms, windows facing the courtyard or the street, adjustable heating, a wide wardrobe for everything you want to bring from home. No bed is crowded. All have views. All have quiet.

The rooms

Rooms with memories

Single Standard Room

The most suitable choice for residents who prefer their own privacy. A 14-16 sqm room with single bed (90×200), orthopaedic mattress, bedside table, drawer wardrobe, small table, comfortable chair for reading or listening to the radio. The private bathroom has safety features — discreet grab bars, anti-slip floor, shower chair on request — without looking like a hospital room.

Double Room

The double room works beautifully for two people who know each other (siblings, lifelong friends, or a couple) — or for residents who prefer the discreet company of a second person. 22-25 sqm, two separate beds, a small corner with a table for coffee in twos, spacious private bathroom.

Common spaces

Places to be together, places to be alone

A good house always has two kinds of spaces: those that call you to be with others, and those that let you be with yourself. We have both.

The restaurant

The long table in the restaurant was the first piece of furniture that remained unchanged from the guesthouse. Made of beech wood, slightly worn at the corners, it seats 20 people comfortably. We gather here at noon for soup and at 7 pm for dinner. Whoever prefers their room receives there — no judgement.

The menu is hand-written on a large board, changed daily. Our cook asks every evening "what would you like tomorrow" — and answers, within reason.

The lounge

The lounge is the room where people come after lunch, with coffee. Deep sofas, a library with about 200 books, an old FM radio that picks up Radio România Cultural.

There is a small piano in the corner — sometimes on Thursday evenings, Mrs M., a former music teacher, sits down and plays a few Maria Tănase pieces.

The terrace

The terrace is our favourite place. It has a view of Tâmpa through the canopies. It has ergonomic, comfortable chairs for the back. A pergola for summer shade, and a small greenhouse for flowers. The 5 o'clock tea is served here, weather permitting.

The courtyard

The courtyard has accessible paths (no thresholds, no stones to disturb walking), benches under trees, a long table for coffee in good weather, and a small vegetable garden tended by some of the residents. It is a living place.

The park across the street

We are uniquely fortunate that a park sits across the street — with smooth paths, benches, an arts fountain. The daily walk (for those who can and wish) goes to the park — 200 metres round trip, accompanied if needed, alone if the resident prefers and is safe.

Wellness & recovery centre

Movement, not training

Our wellness centre is small, but designed for exactly what a senior needs — gentle movement, soft recovery, a rhythm that does not tire. Two recumbent medical bikes, a treadmill with complete handrail, equipment for gentle exercises, mats for floor work.

A physiotherapist visits 2-3 times a week — individual sessions for residents who need specific programmes (post-stroke, Parkinson's, orthopaedic recovery). Not mandatory. No one rushes.

Monthly investment

Fee: from 1,200 EUR per month

Our monthly fee starts at 1,200 EUR, for a place in a double room with all baseline services included. Supplements for single rooms, Double Comfort rooms, or specialised medical services are calculated after the free initial consultation.

Why one consultation before telling you the exact price? Because each resident has different needs. It would be dishonest to promise an indicative price without knowing the situation.

Payment in RON or EUR (SEPA for diaspora families). Standard tax invoice. No hidden fees.

Come and see

The best thing is to come and see.

All these words are written with care, but a real room, a coffee on the terrace and a conversation with the team are worth more than 10 pages of website.
