Dignity, always
Each resident is treated as an adult with their own history, preferences and rhythm. Nothing infantilising. Nothing forced.
Pensiunea Pietrele lui Solomon was the first form of this house. Today we keep the building, the people and the care, and we open a residence for your parents. Here is the story in short — with the people you will meet when you visit.
Pensiunea Pietrele lui Solomon ran for many years in Șchei, beneath Tâmpa — a house with guests who came for the mountain air and the calm of the old town. The family that cared for it learned something you do not learn at school: how to make someone feel at home from the first day.
Over time, we started receiving different requests. Families asking whether we could host a parent or a grandparent, even for a week of respite. We said "yes" each time — and we noticed that for the people who came to us, the gesture of "making it home" worked for residents too, not only for guests.
In 2025 we decided: we will turn the guesthouse into a residence for seniors — keeping the building, the garden, the kitchen, the people — and adding everything needed for a home for parents: 24/7 medical care, well-appointed rooms, a wellness centre.
That is how Luxury Senior Residence was born. 20 places, in three room types. A cook who asks every evening "what would you like tomorrow". Nurses who stay for years, not months. A terrace where, if you look up through the lime trees, you can see Tâmpa.
We are at the beginning of this new form. We promise two things: we will keep what made the guesthouse good — the kitchen, the garden, the atmosphere — and we will add only things that serve the people who live here, not administrative rules.
Here we do not talk about titles on a website, but about real people you meet when you visit. Nurses who have worked with us since the guesthouse days, a cook who knows how to make homemade bread, carers who remember how you like your coffee. Our staff does not change every 6 months — and that means a month after you arrive, the lady bringing your tea already knows your favourite cup.
Each resident is treated as an adult with their own history, preferences and rhythm. Nothing infantilising. Nothing forced.
Coffee is not served at "9 sharp". Meals are not a stopwatch. The people who care for you have time to talk, not just to tick a list.
The fee is clear from the start. Changes are communicated in advance. Family receives honest answers, not marketing.
We have rules — for safety and rhythm — but we apply them gently. The difference between a classic nursing home and our house is felt from the first visit.
We operate under MMPS regulations and under the supervision of DSP Brașov. Accreditation documents:
We work transparently: as we receive each permit, we publish it here and inform our existing families. If you want to talk directly to the authorities or check the current status, you can contact us anytime.
The name is in English, intentionally. We wanted a word that says clearly — both to the Romanian diaspora and to a family that does not speak Romanian — what we do here: a premium residence for seniors. Not a "nursing home". Not an "old people's home". A place where age is received with respect.
"Luxury" is not about marble and ostentatious luxury — it is about the peace of having everything you need, without effort, without surprises. It is about dignity, time and care.
